Bandalong Boom System Success Stories

These two boom systems are located on the Patawalonga sediment basin at the South/West end of Adelaide airports main runway.
The two booms run parallel to each other, the main boom system prevents litter and debris flowing further down stream and out into the ocean.
The secondary boom deflects litter away from the river bank rock wall and along with the main system directs litter onto the concrete apron where it can be easily collected and disposed of.
These before and after shots show how effective the Bandalong boom system is in preventing litter from ending up on our beaches
Bandalong Litter Trap Success Stories

Department of Environment for Tasmania's Mr. John Chrispijn and Glenorchy City Councils Scott Moles were so impressed with our previous litter trap installation in Hobart they ordered a second unit.
This litter trap was installed at the Barossa outfall, next to the Derwent Entertainment complex on Elwick bay.
We loaded the partially assembled trap and other material onto the trailer and took the 10 hour journey South via the Spirit of Tasmania. Another successful installation with future litter traps on the horizon for Tasmania.
