Usage #2 -Pipeline Grille Protection
Problem
Debris was choking inlet grilles of pipelines that flow through to water catchments. This was minimising water flow through to major reservoirs and creating huge maintenance issues for our client.
Solution
Design & Install a Bandalong floating Boom System that deflected debris downstream away from the inlet grille.
Outcome
This proved to be another very successful solution. The water finally flowed unobstructed and the majority of our client's maintenance issues became a thing of the past. This is also proving to act as a safety barrier for recreational users of some waterways
The Bandalong Litter Trap floats on waterways, given buoyancy by exceptionally strong and durable polyethylene pipes. The unit is held in place by galvanised chains attached to ground anchors or fitted to rider poles for canal installations.
